Measuring Investment Performance - Buffett vs S&P 500
Since 2008 Berkshire returned 9% per year while the S&P 500 returned 12% per year. One would easily say the S&P 500 did better - but not that fast!
Investing is also about:
1) RISK
2) STRATEGY
3) EARNINGS GROWTH and,
4) SHORT TERM VALUATION CHANGES
When you look at things from an investing perspective, you might say Buffett outperformed the S&P 500 by far over the period.
